Impossible to tie down to any one genre, Vincent de Acevedo aka Mod X fuses hip-hop, broken-beat, funk, house and more into a freestyle concoction of rhythms that is hard to resist. 2002's debut album 'Demons & Saints' (Ice & Spice Records) was well received by radio and clubs in his native France.

Advertising execs were quick to jump on board and Mod X has provided the soundtrack to international campaigns by several corporate behemoths. February 2005 saw Mod X release his first 12" vinyl 'The Quest' again on Ice & Spice. With a remix from Paul Murphy (Afro Art Records), The Quest gained Mod X international recognition on the broken-beat scene. Future projects include two new 12" releases 'Picture Man' featuring Kid Loco and 'Political Sun' featuring Jon Kennedy (Grand Central) with a full album currently in production. Outside the studio Mod X is making regular club and radio DJ appearances in his home city of Paris and around Europe.
