Chris Lawand A.K.A DJ C Reality has been involved in the art of turntablism for approximately 17 years. Chris was heavily involved in the early 90s New York club scene, with many different venues under his belt. Chris also spent 4 years as the DJ for the underground hip hop group Myndcrukz who were signed and released two singles through av8 records. Due to the commercialisation of hip hop that took place in the 90s Chris decided to incorporate his turntablism skills to different genres of music. Chris has displayed his scratch abilities on tracks by legendary house music producers Junior Sanchez and Armand van Helden. In 2001, Chris along with drummer Rick Burgess formed Urban Transition, a live hip hop/funk unit that gigged heavily in the tri-state area for about two years but disbanded quickly. Chris has found a new home with Sunny Daze, a unit that he joined in 2004 and feels very confident that this is where he'll be able to incorporate his turntable skills over great live music, performed by awesome musicians!
